Privacy Policy

Technocity Chat is a team inbox and messaging platform for businesses that use the WhatsApp Business Platform. It is operated by Technocity Solutions ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Meta's Platform Terms.
Who is responsible for what
Businesses sign up for Technocity Chat and connect their own WhatsApp Business Accounts. For the conversations, contacts and media that a business handles through Technocity Chat, that business decides why and how the data is used (it is the Data Fiduciary or controller), and we process the data on its behalf and on its instructions. For the account details of people who sign up and log in, we are responsible.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, work email, business name, and a one-way hash of your password. We never store your password itself.
- WhatsApp Business data: when a business connects through Facebook Login for Business (Embedded Signup) or with a system-user token, we receive the WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number IDs, display names, quality ratings and message templates. Access tokens are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM).
- Conversation data: messages, media, delivery and read statuses, and the profile name and phone number of the people who message the business. If a business links a WhatsApp Business app number, Meta also shares messages sent from that phone and, with the business owner's approval, up to 180 days of chat history and the phone's contacts.
- Data the business adds: contact fields, labels, internal notes, quick replies and team assignments.
- Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you logged in, and server logs (IP address, time, request) kept for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To provide the service: show conversations to the business's team, send the replies and templates they write, and keep a history of each chat.
- To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
- To meet legal obligations and Meta's WhatsApp Business policies, such as honouring opt-out requests.
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use conversation content to train AI models.
Who we share it with
- Meta Platforms, which runs the WhatsApp Business Platform. Messages a business sends or receives pass through Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API under Meta's own terms.
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger), whose servers run the application and database.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep conversation data for as long as the business keeps its Technocity Chat workspace, or shorter if the business deletes it. When a workspace is closed, we delete its data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records longer. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Security
Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Access tokens are encrypted at rest. Each business's data is separated by workspace, and inside a workspace each person sees only what their role allows.
Your rights
You can ask for a summary of your personal data, ask us to correct or erase it, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to act for you. If you messaged a business that uses Technocity Chat, contact that business first, since it controls those conversations; we will help it respond. To stop receiving messages from a business, reply STOP. See our data deletion instructions.
Contact and grievances
Write to hello@neutechnocity.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and tell workspace owners about significant changes before they take effect.
